Cunderdin Solar Farm
Location: Cunderdin, Western Australia.
Project size: 128 MW DC
Scope of works: Pile installation.
At the Cunderdin Solar Farm, which produces 200 GWh of clean energy annually and offsets around 145,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions, our team was responsible for the successful installation of 14,177 combination of tracker and battery piles.
Darlington Point Solar Farm
Location: 10km south of the town of Darlington Point, NSW.
Project size: 333 MWp
Scope of works: Pile installation.
Solar Farm Constructions completed approximately 30,000 piles on the Darlington Point Solar Farm for Nilsen Pty Ltd & EPC JV between Signal Energy Australia and Canadian Solar. The 333MW site utilised the ATI Duratrack system constructed on W6x9 foundation piles. We were also responsible for the installation of over 350 PCU Inverter foundation piles of 150 x 150mm profile installed to a depth of 4 metres.
Glenrowan Solar Farm
Location: Glenrowan, Victoria.
Project size: 130 MW DC
Scope of works: Mechanical and Pile installation.
In 2023, Solar Farm Constructions successfully delivered piling and mechanical installation works at the Glenrowan Solar Farm, working under EPC contractor UGL.
The scope included the installation of 32,245 tracker piles and an additional 180 secondary piles. On the mechanical side, our team installed 25,346 torque tubes and 225,293 solar modules, playing a key role in the successful completion of this large-scale renewable energy project.
Goonumbla Solar Farm
Location: 10km west of the town of Parkes, NSW.
Project size: 83.70 MW dc PV
Scope of works: Pile installation.
We successfully installed 23,000 piles on the Goonumbla Solar Farm located in Parkes NSW. The site utilised the Spanish PV Hardware Tracking system. Solar Farm Constructions proudly worked under subcontract to JNC Group for EPC Gransolar. The 68MW site was a difficult project to deliver, consisting of hot and dusty conditions in rocky terrain. Our workforce successfully completed the project with all piles installed using GPS machine guidance.
Maryrorough Solar Farm
Location: 50km west of Toomoomba, in SE Queensland.
Project size: 34.5 MWdc
Scope of works: Pile installation.
Our team installed over 5757 sigma section piles at the Maryrorough Solar Farm in Pittsworth QLD. The 35MW utilised the Ideematec Tracking system. All piles were installed in cement stabilised sand and met strict tolerance criteria including less than 1 degree of twist and less than 0.7 degree plumb range.
Melbourne Airport North Airfield Solar Farm
Location: Melbourne Airport, Victoria.
Project size: 7.5 MW
Scope of works: Surveying, pre-drilling, pile installation and quality assurance.
Solar Farm Constructions successfully delivered piling and associated works for the Melbourne Airport North Airfield Solar Project—an innovative development located within the boundaries of one of Australia’s busiest airports.
Working under EPC contractor Beon Energy Solutions, our scope included surveying, pre-drilling, pile installation, and quality assurance across 4,590 piles. The project was delivered under strict aviation safety protocols and within a live operational environment.
Metz Solar Farm
